M.A. Languages and Cultures of East Asia (SKOA)

This single-subject Master's degree program builds on the four-year Bachelor's degree program Languages and Cultures of East Asia. The standard period of study is two semesters. It deals with the cultural area of East Asia in its contexts on the basis of original linguistic literature and sources while at the same time sharpening the academic profile.

The degree program contains the following elements:

• A country-specific focus
• A core area of East Asian Studies
• An elective area
• A Master's thesis
