Felix Doege is Research Associate and PhD Candidate at the Department for East Asian Politics, Faculty of East Asian Studies, at Ruhr University Bochum (RUB), Germany. He holds an MA in East Asian Politics and a BA in East Asian Economics and Politics. Internships took him to the German Embassy in Tokyo and the GIGA Institute for Asian Studies in Hamburg. Previous positions comprise Tutor at the Chair of International Politics, Social Science Faculty, RUB, and Research Assistant at the Department for East Asian Politics, Faculty of East Asian Studies, RUB.
Felix Doege’s lines of research are Japan’s political economy and financial market governance, cryptocurrency regulation in Japan and beyond, financial and non-financial innovation, Japanese atomic energy policy, energy security in East Asia, the role of the United States in East Asia and Japan-US relations.
